Derby, West Australia Round 2

Monday June 27th saw us packing up at Windjana Gorge and making the return trip into Derby. The return trip was uneventful with the road mostly in good condition (Gibb River good at least!). We stopped where the sealed road began to adjust the air pressure on the tyres before the remainder of our short journey.

We arrived back at the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park just before 10 and confirmed our reserved sites. All was good and we picked up our caravans from the storage area and moved them to the new locations. Nice big, wide sites with some shade.

The next two days were fairly uneventful with most of day one involving laundry and reorganizing our camping supplies. We are planning another tenting excursion in a couple of days so most of the camping stuff remained in the vehicles but needed to be reorganized.

Day two involved some grocery shopping, diesel top ups, and some souvenir shopping. We enjoyed the luxuries of caravan life on a powered site again very much. We have enjoyed our time in Derby and would recommend the Kimberley Entrance park. Not sure if we will be back this way as the two main attractions of Derby for us would be the huge tides and the Horizontal Waterfalls. We have seen and done both now.
