April 7th, 2012- Meadow Glen Rest Stop- near Cobar

Saturday April 7th saw us head South from White Cliffs towards Wilcannia and then East towards Cobar. The drive was uneventful other than the large amount of flooding from Wilcannia towards the East. Amazing amount of water and really flowing fast that extended from the Darling River in Wilcannia to about 13KM East.

We arrived at Meadow Glen Rest Stop which is about 60KM West of Cobar in the mid afternoon. We found a sheltered area somewhat back from the road. Quite a nice free camp with basic facilities. Ended up with about 6 groups spread out overnight. We are definitely back into the red dirt by the way! This will be the last of our overlap as we are heading North from Cobar to Bourke tomorrow.
