April 4th, 2012- Broken Hill Top Tourist- Broken Hill

Headed off towards Broken Hill in the morning. Unbelievable how green everything is. It was quite green when we passed through last time but nothing like this. The Emu population is thriving as we saw over a hundred during the last few days of driving.

We pulled into the caravan park in Broken Hill just after 10AM. Luckily both our sites were empty and we were able to get set up as soon as we arrived. The girls got into the laundry with gusto. We headed into the shopping centre for lunch and some grocery shopping. Washed the car again which is probably a waste of time.

More washing and cleaning in the afternoon. Had lots of phone calls with family and friend as well. Enjoyed drinks with the Ransleys before tea and a fairly early night. The caravan park is quite nice and well maintained.
