Monday morning saw us on the road South again towards Elliston. Stopped briefly at Port Kenny which is not much to see; before turning into the Talia Caves. There were a number of lookouts in this area. Woodshed Cave was our first stop. We descended several steps to the beach/rocks to view the cave carved into the cliff wall. Very impressive!
Next stop was the Anxious Bay beach lookout which stretches all the way to Elliston. Also stopped at the Tub which is a huge cave that the roof has collapsed on forming a bowl.
Carried on from here to Elliston where we checked into the Family Parks caravan park. Very friendly staff and we each got two sites so we could use as drive through sites. We got setup then the Ransleys hopped in with us and we went sightseeing. Our first stop was Walker Rock where we did some 4WD onto the beach.
We then returned towards Elliston and took the Anxious Bay and Clifftop Drive. Very beautiful drive along this rugged piece of coastline. Numerous lookouts and some unique sculptures along the way. A very enjoyable yet short drive. Lots of stops and photos before we ended up at the Clifftop Lookout overlooking Elliston. We had a quick drive around the town which is very small but clean and beautiful. Worth another visit some day.
We had an early afternoon and enjoyed cheese and biscuits with the Ransleys back at the park. Sandra, Carol, and I walked down after tea to watch the sunset over the Elliston Jetty. Spectacular!
