Moree, New South Wales

Sunday May 7th saw us head North again towards Moree. The road was fairly good with lots of straight stretches to let faster vehicles by. We stopped for fuel in Narrabri and Sandra had some fun with an automated fuel station. We got our fuel without a problem but couldn't get our receipt from the machine and it appeared to not be responsive for any other customers after us. Oops!

Continued on to Moree where we checked into the Mehi River Caravan Park. The sites were quite spacious and the staff was friendly. Amenities were a bit dated but always clean. Had a few artesian spas on site as well. One was hot and one quite cool. We got ourselves setup before enjoying a hot spa later in the afternoon. Not that hot but quite comfortable.

There were numerous signs throughout the park about locking up your gear so obviously theft is a problem. That being said we had no problem and we didn't see any intruders during our stay.

Sandra and I had a walk downtown on Monday morning for a bit of exercise and picked up a few groceries at Woolworths while there. Luckily we didn't grab anymore than we did as our arms were tired and a bit longer by the time we made it back to the caravan park. There were some lovely park areas along the river where we walked. What we saw of the town was green and quite clean.

The afternoon was fairly quiet with Sandra getting caught up on our laundry and a bit of cleaning. We enjoyed another warm spa in the afternoon. All in all a nice relaxing stay.
