Tuesday May 9th we left Moree and crossed into Queensland at Goondiwindi. We pretty much bypassed it so will need to visit on another trip. We carried on to Millmerran where we took advantage of a free camp on the edge of town at Wapole Park. There was lots of space and trees for shade in a fenced area. No amenity block but public ones only a block away at Lions Park. There is a BBQ area if required. Was nice a quiet with not too much highway noise.
We got the van setup and drove into town to top up with diesel and do a bit of shopping. A lovely old town. We took a walk down town in the afternoon as well to get a bit of exercise and have a look around.
We enjoyed a quiet night and would definitely recommend as a stopover location. 3 other van joined us during the day but wouldn't know they were there given that there was lots of space.
